How does medical needling work?
Medical needling, also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT), is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to stimulate the natural regeneration of the skin.
The key to its effectiveness lies in fine, microscopic needles attached to a special device. These needles are gently guided over the skin and create tiny micro-injuries in the uppermost layer of the skin.
The body reacts to these tiny injuries by triggering the natural healing process. This leads to the production of new collagen and elastin, the two proteins responsible for the skin's firmness and elasticity.
Over time, this process leads to firmer, smoother and more youthful looking skin.

Medical needling vs microneedling

Medical needling uses longer needles to intensely stimulate the deeper layers of the skin. In contrast to microneedling, medical needling is performed by specialised doctors, minimising the risk of infections and scarring.

Consultation
The consultation takes place at one of our many clinics across Switzerland, whichever is most convenient for you. Our consultant will assess your skin's condition, aging progress and evaluate if the medical needling treatment is suitable for you.
If so, the procedure, its outcomes and potential risks will be explained in detail. You will also be able to ask questions and voice concerns, to ensure an informed decision.
